MADISON, WI (Ben Caxton) — You can forget holding rummage sales during the COVID-19 pandemic. `Judy Burrows at the Marathon County Health Department made it clear that any out-of-home sale is considered a non-essential business, so anyone looking to clean out those closets or garages should wait until after the Governor’s safer at home order is lifted. She says there’s no way to hold a sale in your driveway while maintaining appropriate social distancing. She adds that many people will visit several sales in a day, which would bring a high risk of spreading COVID-19. Health officials in Stevens Point issued a similar statement on Monday, Governor Evers has not said what will happen when the original safer at home order is set to expire on April 24th.
