Lancaster Tells Police Evers Order Violators Are “health Violations”

LANCASTER, WI (Ben Caxton) — Trying to find a way to justify Governor Tony Ever’s “Safer at Home” orders and restrictions, the Lancaster Council is trying something new. They’re telling police to cite people not following the rules as “health violations.” That decision to propose a new ordinance came at a Monday meeting. The new ordinance would give Lancaster Police the ability to write a citation, and any revenue from that forfeiture would go to the City of Lancaster. The new ordinance takes effect once it is published in the official newspaper of the City of Lancaster.
