DUBUQUE, Iowa (Ben Caxton)— Two people have been arrested in connection to a shooting investigation from July.
Dubuque Police say two 24-year-old Dubuque men, Javarise Jackson and Deonte Massey-Beavers, were arrested Wednesday.
Denzel Hayes, 26 of Dubuque, was shot in the leg on July 22 around 10 p.m. while standing with a group of people near 15th Street and Bluff Street, possibly by a passing vehicle.
Investigators used the City’s traffic camera system to find the car and identify the suspects.
Jackson is charged with carrying weapons, reckless use of a firearm causing bodily injury, going armed with intent, intimidation with a dangerous weapon.
Massey-Beavers is charged with reckless use of a firearm causing bodily injury, going armed with intent, intimidation with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a domestic abuse offender.
Police say they are investigating the two suspects to see if they are involved in any other recent reports of shots fired.
Both are being held in Dubuque County Jail.
