Bangor school referendum passes – La Crosse Mayors race set

Voters in Bangor approved a referendum to exceed tax levy limits for the next three years by $600,000 each year. The district says the money is needed to maintain programming and the money will not raise property taxes because it coincides with the payoff of some long term bonds.
Yes – 328 (60.4%)
No – 215 (39.6%)
Voters in La Crosse narrowed the field of 11 candidates down to two yesterday at the polls choosing Tim Kabat and Doug Farmers to move on to the general election.
Tim Kabat 2,670 (42%)
Doug Farmer 1,400 (22%)
Bill Feehan 585 (9%)
Michael Brown 377 (6%)
