David Turner, 90, of Onalaska, Wis., passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center, La Crosse.

David was born Oct. 5, 1921, to Walter Henry and Pearl Harriet (Flood) Turner, in Sparta, Wis. He married Audrey Imogene Streeck on Sept. 7, 1941, in Sparta, Wis.

David is survived by his wife, Audrey of Onalaska; children, Jack (Ann Marie) Turner of La Crosse, Donald (Constance) Turner of Des Plaines, Ill., Robin (Laura) Turner of Lewiston, Idaho, and Jon (Kathy) Turner of La Crosse; nine grandchildren; two, great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Kenneth Turner; three grandchildren, Adam Turner, John Turner and Jennifer Turner; and a brother, Phillip Clifford Turner.

A celebration and remembrance of David’s life was held Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, from 3-5 p.m. at Torkelson Funeral Home in Cashton, Wis. Burial will take place at a later date in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Sparta, Wis. Memorials may be directed toward the Freedom Honor Flight of La Crosse, P.O. Box 505, La Crosse, WI 54602.

The Torkelson Funeral Home of Cashton, Wis., assisted the family with arrangements.
