The Vernon County Toys for Tots program is looking for a little help to find a new space. Kay Deaver who helps organize to the Vernon County Toys for Tots every year said they had been operating out of a house graciously donated by Vernon Memorial Hospital but the hospital is in the process of tearing that houe down to use the land it sits on for other purposes and that Toys for Tots is in need of a new home by next month.

“Vernon Memorial has been so good to us over the years but we are asking anyone in the area that has space we can use to let us know,” said Deaver. “We really ideally would like to have someplace in the Viroqua area since the donations come to the fire station etc.”

Deaver said they have until the end of the month to find something and the process of planning and gathering toys for the next Christmas season is not far off so the sooner they can find a spot the better.

“We really don’t have much money because we really try to put everything into getting toys into the hands as many kids as we can so whatever we can find would really help,” said Deaver.

If you know of space or have space available you can contact Kay Deaver at 608-637-7120 or 608-606-5379
