TOWN OF CAMPBELL, Wis. (AP) — Police are investigating the deaths of two people on French Island near La Crosse.  Authorities say the deaths in an apartment in the Town of Campbell appear to be a murder-suicide case. La Crosse police have now identified the two people found in that apartment as Dana Shefelbine, 18, of Holmen, and Jesse Klukas, 22, of La Crosse.

Neighbor Jack Smizek tells WKBT-TV he called police after his wife found a bullet hole in the wall of their apartment, which is across the hall from where the bodies were found. Smizek says it’s hard to believe the deaths could happen so close to his home.
