Rollover crash over the weekend in town of Bergen

According to the Vernon County Sheriff’s Department two people we injured as the result of a one vehicle rollover accident that happened around 7:20 Saturday evening on Highway 162 near Hunder Coulee Road east of Stoddard in the Town of Bergen.

The Sheriff’s Department says Aaron Pilger, 30, of Coon Valley lost control on a corner while traveling east on State Hwy 162 then rolled over into the ditch and came to rest 20 feet off of the roadway.

Pilger and his passenger Dean Young, 34, of Virqoua suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The Sheriff;s Department says alcohol was involved in the accident and both occupants were wearing their seat belts.

Assisting the sheriff’s office at the scene were the Stoddard/ Bergen Fire Department, Stoddard First Responders, and Tri State Ambulance.

The accident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
